I am Sangeeta Mathur, staying at Carlton Estate, DLF Phase-5, Gurgaon. I am staying at my apartment for past 10 years, and recently I decided to renovate it. I wasn’t very keen to invest a lot of time and money on renovation. When I searched for décor ideas, I came across wallpaper dealers in Gurgaon. From there I got an inspiration to use wallpapers in variety of ways.
I consulted Life N Colors, a wallpapers supplier in Gurgaon and Delhi. Their wall styling experts helped me design some really cool wall ideas. I used floral wallpapers for my bedroom, damask wallpapers behind sofa in living room, and a funky pattern in my lounge.
For my kid’s room wallpaper, I got my design printed as customized wallpaper. My design was related to some cartoon characters which my daughter wanted. Customized wallpaper came out really very well. This has become a highlight of my renovated place. Colors are bright and peppy. Material quality is also awesome.
Apart from using wallpapers in traditional ways, I used wallpapers in some new ways. I had put 3D wallpaper on room ceiling. This has given my room a very big look. It looks very attractive from entry place as well.
I got cuttings of wallpapers on my almirahs, I had old almirahs which used to look ugly after years of use. I got old laminate removed and got putty primer done on plywood base. Over that Life N Colors installed wallpapers. Wallpapers were same as what I used in my bedroom, this gave the whole room a very nice big feel. Almirahs are also now looking unique and they are quite unlike normal laminates which are currently used. Normal laminates look very boring, but wallpapers on wardrobes look something very nice.
The best part is that I also used remaining wallpapers to make dining table coasters. I had cut them in A3 size and got them laminated at a cheaper price outside in Gurgaon. I got total 6 floral wallpapers-based coasters for less 200 Rs.
I also used on wallpaper panel on my old drawing room table. I got it stick on table and then put a glass over it. It looks amazingly nice now.
I have also used plain wallpapers on my various walls in the house apart from using floral, damask, and 3D wallpapers to highlight main walls. I used reasonable range wallpapers, and just used them on all walls. I have now realized that wallpapers are much cheaper compared to life time cost of paint.
Wallpapers last for more than 8-10 years compared to 3-4 years of paint. And I am also not in favor of having painting job happening at my place for more than 15-20 days every third years. Wallpapers could be installed within 2-3 days without any hassles.
Also, material used in wallpaper is environmentally friendly, it could be cleaned with wet cloth. My house looks so new and modern now.
